I contributed to various concept design efforts on the Peloton Tread+ and was heavily involved in designing the accessory tray and control bar.
The Tread+ stop button and safety key and clip had to be simple and intuitive to use, especially when out of breath after a hard sprint.
The accessory tray presented an opportunity to provide elegant practicality and ties in material cues from the Peloton Bike.
I explored divergent design concepts quickly with sketching, prototyping, and graphic studies.
Being a part of the Peloton Tread+ design team was an incredible learning opportunity for me. I learned how to approach different scales of concept development fluidly and with confidence. From completely rethinking what a treadmill could be, to honing in on specific interaction points with hard constraints, I was able to adapt and make valuable contributions.
